Underwriter Trainee

We are looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic, career-minded individual focused on excellent customer service!  The Underwriter Trainee is an entry-level position and will assist with the daily work processing functions in the Underwriting Department according to company underwriting guidelines. 

Responsibilities include assisting in underwriting activities within the scope of authority; including but not limited to:

  *  Handling incoming calls from agents and policy-holders

  *  Prepares written communications

  *  Requests necessary documentation from agents to determine acceptability of applications

  *  Process policy quotations

  *  Review policy renewals

  *  Delivers exceptional customer service, while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

  *  Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree

  *  Two years of demonstrated excellent customer service

  *  Ability to make decisions regarding company policy in a timely and effective manner

  *  Strong verbal and written skills

  *  Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a "paper-less" environment
